Raw Magic with Kate Magic!
Saturday 17th March, 12-6pm at Bristo Yoga School
£90.Book Friday evening (at Real Foods) & Saturday (at BYS) together for £99. Saturday: In this five-hour class, Kate will go deeper into the whys and hows of Raw Magic, as well as teaching the basics of raw food cuisine to inspire you to get endlessly creative in the kitchen. We will break the day into two halves, with an hour for a light lunch in the middle. The first half of the day covers savouries, and the second half covers desserts. Kate will talk about building a solid foundation of inner health, and how best to do that. She will discuss the most important elements of a healthy diet, and where to obtain them on a raw vegan diet. As much as time will allow, she will go into detail on the different superfoods and their energetic properties. Kate will share some of her personal experiences of being on the raw path for nearly two decades. She will share some of the insights she gleaned on the way to help you on your journey of raw transformation. She will offer advice on just how to get the magic flowing and the miracles manifesting. Kate’s food classes are popular because she doesn’t just demonstrate a few recipes. Rather, she shares formulas that can easily be replicated in your kitchen with whichever ingredients you have to hand. You won’t just come away with some set recipes, you’ll come away with a whole new repertoire – how to make dips, dinners, cakes, and sweets. Kate’s wisdom comes from preparing meals for a family in the domestic environment, and fitting that in around the usual chaos and stresses of a Western 21st century lifestyle. She knows how to make delicious food as quickly and efficiently as possible, and all the little labour saving tips which ensure you are not in the kitchen for hours every day, slaving over your dehydrator. There are plenty of opportunities to taste different ingredients and different dishes throughout the afternoon. Everyone usually leaves very full – don’t arrange to go out for dinner that evening! There will also be a chance to ask your individual questions and hear what Kate has to say on the issues that have been troubling you – don’t forget to bring your pen and paper. The information covered in this class is different from the Friday class. It is very helpful if you can to do both classes, as Friday’s will prepare and set the ground for the food workshop. Kate will be making all new recipes for 2012, all previously unpublished & exclusive to course attendees. All course attendees also receive a free month’s membership to Kate’s Magic Bubble, and 10% discount on their Raw Living shopping for the month following the event. We will serve complementary teas and water, and there will be Kate’s books and other Raw Living produce (including cakes and chocolate bars) available to buy. We are unable to take cards or cheques so please bring cash with you. Lunch will be served about 2pm and will be a light salad. If you have any nutritional requirements (other than raw vegan!) please let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate you. Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve been at it for years, we guarantee you’ll find the day entertaining, uplifting, inspiring, informative, and just downright useful. More info here: http://www.rawliving.eu/edinburgh-food.html Personal Consultations Personal consultations with Kate are also available over the weekend. These are usually £60 for an hour, but if you are attending either of the classes, you can book a consultation for just £45. Please email Susan to book.
